For the past 25 years, SAIB has been at the forefront in the use of recycled wood, salvaged from the separate waste management of Italian and European municipal service companies. Each year over 400,000 tons of wood refuse from separate waste management activities is processed, refuse that would, otherwise, have been used for combustion or taken to the dump. Instead, it is transformed into raw and MFC chipboard for the furniture industry. Processed using state-of-the-art technologies, in addition to their high eco-sustainability, all the chipboards manufactured by SAIB are distinguished by the use of safe glues which comply with the strictest regulations in force on emissions.
This is the concept that underlies the ultimate horizon in Green Economy, which, from a “green” ecological, sustainable idea, has taken on a new shade of “blue”. Blue Thinking: thinking or rethinking the entire production system in the perspective of a kind of development that takes great care of our environmental heritage and exhaustible natural resources. All of which is carried out with the utmost respect for the world around us and the possibility for growth of future generations. A vision which sees SAIB among the forerunners of this new school of thought. Because protecting the environment without limiting development, should not be viewed as a burden or a legal obligation, but as a conscious and voluntary choice, with immense ethical value and social responsibility.
Sustainability means thinking and acting responsibly, from the manufacturing of the panel to the selling of the furniture and accessories.
