Compasso d’Oro 2022

Saib wins the Compasso d’oro for the Ostuni finish and the associated panel.
To receive the award the CEO Clara Conti, who talks about the characteristics of the product: sustainability, aesthetics and technology.

Clara Conti, CEO of the company, received the Compasso d’Oro, the most important Italian design award, awarded by ADI, which chose Saib for the Ostuni finish and the associated panel. The jury motivated the victory with the motivation: “Panel and finish express a historical production sensitivity linked to the sustainable use of wood”.

Ostuni offers evocative textures that alternate glossy and opaque effects, pleasing to the touch and to the eye. The beauty of the texture, made in various colors and with a material effect, is combined with the technology of raw and ennobled chipboard panels (Rpb, Regenerated Particle Board) characterized by the Rewood production process, which is based on a regenerative economy and focus on an important issue: reducing the impact on nature, on the territory and on those who live there. The CEO emphasizes: “all the separated elements during the post-consumer wood cleaning, which arrive at Saib, are sent to the respective recovery supply chains, creating a virtuous circle, sustainability generates sustainability and must be based on collective and collaborative work”. The award has two reasons: the creative project, which is inspired by the lime and the spatulated plasters typical of the historic centers of the Mediterranean, and the attention to sustainability.
